At the heart of PINTU 2025 were its incubated participants, 64 Indonesian fashion brands selected from 10,062 applicants through a rigorous curatorial process and guided through months of structured mentoring. Supported by 129 mentors, including 44 fashion experts from France, the program combined personalized business guidance, creative development, and market readiness. Through this approach, participants were not only strengthened conceptually, but also prepared to compete commercially. This model reaffirmed PINTU’s role in strengthening Indonesia’s fashion ecosystem, where design vision is supported by strategy, sustainability, and long term growth.
A major milestone in 2025 was the launch of the PINTU Residency Program, reinforcing PINTU’s commitment to cultural diplomacy and knowledge exchange. The program brought two young French designers: Kozue Sullerot and Priscille Berthaud to Indonesia for an immersive creative journey alongside local artisans.
Working closely with batik artisans in Tegal and weavers in Lombok, the designers translated Indonesia’s textile heritage into contemporary, market ready collections. More than a creative exercise, the residency created a shared space where craftsmanship, cultural narratives, and modern design language converged, demonstrating how heritage can evolve without losing its essence.
PINTU’s global momentum reached its peak at Première Classe Paris Trade Show 2025, held at Jardin des Tuileries during Paris Fashion Week. Through this platform, PINTU presented curated Indonesian brands alongside residency collections, positioning them directly in front of international buyers, industry professionals, and global media.
The results were tangible. Participating brands recorded transactions and strong interest from buyers across Europe and beyond, proving that Indonesian fashion rooted in craftsmanship and storytelling can compete confidently in international markets. More importantly, Paris became a validation space: where months of incubation translated into real market response.
Throughout 2025, PINTU continued to deepen its bilateral relationship with France. The year saw expanded collaboration with leading institutions such as École Duperré Paris, reinforced through an MoU that opened pathways for educational exchange, mentorship, and long-term cooperation. This partnership reflects PINTU’s broader vision: connecting Indonesian designers with global learning environments while bringing international perspectives into local creative ecosystems.
The visit of the French Minister of Culture and recognition from French cultural institutions further underscored PINTU’s role as a bridge between nations where fashion becomes a medium for dialogue, education, and mutual growth.
What set PINTU 2025 apart was its ecosystem-driven approach. Designers were not treated as isolated talents, but as part of a broader network involving artisans, mentors, buyers, educators, and policymakers. By aligning incubation with real industry exposure, PINTU ensured that creative potential translated into sustainable fashion businesses.
This holistic model—combining incubation, residency, international showcases, and cross-border collaboration—has positioned PINTU as a benchmark for fashion incubation in Indonesia.
As 2025 comes to a close, PINTU stands not only as a record of achievements, but as a foundation for the future. The learnings from Paris, the strength of international partnerships, and the growth of its participants continue to shape PINTU’s direction moving into 2026.
More than a year in review, 2025 represents a turning point—where Indonesian fashion proved its readiness to engage the world with confidence, clarity, and cultural depth.
