Two Journalists Win PINTU Incubator Journalist Writing Competition, Set to Cover Paris Trade Show

PINTU Incubator, a joint initiative by JF3, LAKON Indonesia, and the French Embassy in Indonesia, has announced the winners of its inaugural Journalist Writing Competition. Riana Ibrahim from Harian Kompas and Bio In God Bless from The Editor's Club have been selected to cover the PINTU Incubator delegation at the prestigious Premiere Classe trade show in Paris.

PINTU Incubator has announced the winners of its Journalist Writing Competition, a key component of the 20th anniversary celebrations of JF3 and the third year of PINTU Incubator. The competition, themed “PINTU Incubator’s Initiative in Advancing the Indonesia Fashion Industry,” has recognized outstanding journalism that captures the essence of this groundbreaking program.

The competition, a collaboration between JF3, LAKON Indonesia, and the French Embassy through the Institut Francais d'Indonesie (IFI), aimed to showcase the best work from fashion journalists. The winners were announced on September 8, 2024, following a thorough evaluation process by a distinguished panel of judges.

The two winners selected to cover the PINTU Incubator’s activities in Paris during the Paris Trade Show are:

The winners were chosen based on a comprehensive evaluation of their submissions by the jury, which included representatives from JF3, LAKON Indonesia, the French Embassy, and four professional journalists. The criteria for judging included the relevance of the theme to the competition’s objectives, the depth and insight of the analysis supported by data and quotes, presentation quality including writing style and visuals, originality and innovation, and the overall impact in providing insight and inspiration to readers.


As a reward for their outstanding work, both journalists will be invited to join the PINTU Incubator delegation at the Premiere Classe, Paris Trade Show and covering all PINTU Incubator activities in Paris from September 28 to October 6, 2024. All travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by PINTU, providing these journalists with a unique opportunity to witness and report on the international fashion scene.

PINTU Incubator is committed to supporting the growth of Indonesia's fashion industry and fostering collaboration between Indonesian and French designers. By providing journalists with the opportunity to cover the Premiere Classe trade show, the incubator aims to further increase the visibility of Indonesian fashion on the global stage.
